Am I the only one to notice the number of women in management at the Lab is shrinking under LLNS. The southern good old boys brought in to run LLNL do not take kindly to women in key leadership roles. I feel like we're heading back into the stone age. I expect a sex discrimination lawsuit anytime now - and as a guy who has been at the Lab almost 30 years and seen this all before, I think it would be justified.

I suspect not all of the changes are bad; I know the one in my PAD was long overdue.
I bet you'll have more difficulty in getting information out of LLNS than what could be gathered under the UC reign.
The UC reign is alive and well. George M. is minmizing the role of "industrial partner" managers daily. He has the best of both worlds, ability to maintain UC control and the "industrial partners" to take the blame for all the negatives.
Competent anything is becoming rarer all the time at the lab. It's just the women are smarter about the situation and leaving the sinking ship sooner.
We have way to many in positions of power now. It's time to clean the house.
