SNL has been squeezing hard on the B61 refurb 'teat' for every drop of rich, government funding they could grab. They have gold-plated the whole program.

If the B61 program doesn't keep growing like they had hoped then Sandia is going to have a big budget problem.

Oh yeah! The Chili Cookoff thread!

Why do those Sandia folks think they can get away with a taxpayer-funded chili cookoff?

On top of that all I keep hearing is that they are way overfunded and that they are not filling the hiring gap. Wtf?

They're still working hard on filling the mineshaft gap

I heard that a couple of people in the Materials Chemistry department (including Adam Rowen, the manager) at Sandia booked a trip using Sandia funds to Hawaii to attend the 2012 ECS meeting. That is definitely a waste!
