I had an on-line chat with an Empyrean employee earlier this morning and listed below is a pertinent excerpt from our Chat transcript:
Statements were delayed this month. We sent them out on April 17, 2015. We are aware that it was sent late so we will give you a grace period to send in payment for May. You will have until May 30 2015 to make that payment.
First opportunity right out of the gate to execute on a commitment and they dropped the ball. This does not bode well.
I ended up printing the on-line invoice and mailing in the payment despite receiving no bill.
"...First opportunity right out of the gate to execute on a commitment and they dropped the ball. This does not bode well..."
Was Empyrean the LLNS selected low bidder?
I received my "bill" (actually it is a small credit) from Empyrean today. I called their Customer Care Center and was immediately connected to a representative who was very knowledgeable and helpful. My question was resolved in minutes. AON Hewitt was good whenever I dealt with them, and it appears Empyrean is the same. I have no complaints.
Finally got mine today. I was starting to get worried, but it looks like it will turn out OK.
I got mine today in which it said not to pay since it will take the payment put on the 1st oh May as I have set up online the other day.
Good news, I received and mailed my Empyrean statement from San Ramon, CA on Monday of this week. I just spoke with an Empyrean representative and she said they received my payment and that it would be posted by the COB today.
Today is May 1. I am signed up for auto debit and I was told as recent as a couple hours ago when I contacted Empyrean that it would auto debit before COB today. I am skeptical and am prepared to send off a check if this fails. For those who signed up for auto-debit, can anyone report a successful auto-debit of their first payment to Empyrean???
I can report a successful auto deposit of my Medicare Part B reimbursement, which carried over from AON Hewitt without a hitch.
I received a letter from Empire an telling NOT to send in the payment for medical insurant because it will be automatically taking out of my account. Today my account has not debited yet. Should I worry?
On the bill Empyrean sent me, it said, and I quote,
"Do not pay. Your account will automatically be drafted on 05/01/2015"
But 5/1 came and went and no such auto debit occurred. I talked to Empyearn twice that day and to LLNS as well. One Empyrean person told me it would still post by the end of the day on 5/1 which clearly turned out not to be true. A second Empyrean person told me "they were being told it could take up to 7 more BUSINESS DAYS before the payment will be debited". Well that was certainly news to me. I asked who "they" were and she said Empyrean's financial people. She said it's because this is the first payment and it takes time to set up all the transfers... So... What to do. I am considering writing a check and sending it along with a note, telling them to apply this if the auto-debit has not yet occurred by the time they get the check. And otherwise, to apply the check to my account anyway and I will have a credit for future payments. Haven't decided for sure to do that but that's where I'm leaning. But your comment, May 3, 12:47 am makes two of us who were told not to pay and that our account would debit on 5/1, but it didn't happen.
But if we have the letter from Empyrean telling us not to send in payment and that it will debit our accounts, then there should not be any problem since we have the letter to show?
there should not be any problem since we have the letter to show?

That would be the normal expectation, if you are not a paranoid conspiracy theorist.
