So possible war of Russia with Ukraine. Will we get involved and will it go nuclear? We might get to do a test after all.

Save your fantasies, The US will not get involved except maybe for the most extreme sanctions possible on most Russian government officials, making it impossible for them to move money anywhere outside Russia. That will really, really hurt Putin and his cronies.

Perhaps. What I think will happen is that the NATO will not allow Ukraine in and that could be the end of it, no war and no sanctions.
The US will never accede to barring Ukraine from UN membership. That decision has already been made.
There are any number of scenarios that this administration could use.
1. Send Blankets.
2. Send a strongly worded letter.
3. Go to war.
Option #3 can be used to distract the public from the border situation, Covid mandates, Afghanistan withdrawal and the inflation issue. It can also be used to line the pockets of the military industrial complex. Remember, in chaos there is opportunity.

Take it easy, that sounds like a conspiracy theory. In Biden's presser today he just told Russia it is all yours, there is not going to be a war.
There will certainly be a war, and many will die. The question will be, how many deaths could the US have prevented by a stronger stance against Putin?

Perhaps if the US was on friendlier terms with Putin maybe there would not be a war at all.

Yeah, let's be friends with the murderous KGB cretin. Fidel Castro with nuclear weapons.

You are right, war is the best approach.

Agreed, especially after having that wimp Trump who never had the stomach for war.

I didn't suggest war, but Putin is bound for war. We are to surrender without a fight? (And I know: "It isn't our fight.") Yes it is, unless you want Putin dictating what the US must do for the foreseeable future.

Agreed war it is. Putin was bound for war since 2016 when he put Trump in office. If we take out Putin now the Russians will not be able to interfere with 2022 and 2024 elections. I do not want to see Putin dictating what the US must do in the future. I do not want war either but I see no other choice if are to save our democracy.
All we are saying is give war a chance.
"Peace for our time."
So we are going get a test of the systems or not?

Our biological warfare defense system is already under test.
1/26/2022 9:21 AM
Yes. The perfect war would be one that disables the adversary's economy with no retaliation.
The perfect weapon would be a virus that mutates faster than antidotes and vaccines can be developed.
So we are going get a test of the systems or not?

Yep, probably test to failure.
More talk that a Russian invasion is almost certain.
So let us war game this.
(1) Russia goes in and NATO and the US do nothing.
(2) Russia goes in and starts a limited shooting war with the US. I doubt 8k US troops are going to do much but at least we tried.
Biden Blames Trump and the media declares this a great victory. Neil Young is sent into exile to Winnipeg.
(3) Russia goes and the US sinks a Russian ship, the Russians sink a US aircraft carrier, US nukes a tank column. Russia
backs down.
(4) Same as (3) but Russia keeps going and nukes a US fleet. US backs down
(5) All out nuclear war.
(6) All out nuclear war but we find out that having our weapons labs becoming for profit operations was not the best idea.
On a more serious note, maybe all that will happen is Russia takes over Ukraine, the US and and EU put sanctions on Russia, Russia agrees to leave Ukraine but a very friendly government is put into place.

"Russia goes in and starts a limited shooting war with the US"
Where? US troops aren't going to be where "Russia goes in." They're going to be in the Balkans and Poland. Get a grip.

A shooting war could be they shoot down any US war plane going into Ukraine, sink a ship, or engage with any special forces on the ground. Also limited could mean some US troops go into Ukraine. You seem to have lack of understating of how warfare has been fought in the last 100 years or so. I am not sure what the advantage to the US could be be unless Russia backs down.
Putin will never "back down." He has absolutely nothing to lose personally, and he cares not at all about the Russian people.
If we do not go to war and defeat Russia before 2023 then there is a chance Trump come could come back. Think about it, would you rather risk a nuclear war killing millions or having Trump back as president in 2024? I think the choice is clear.
5:24 I think that is your weirdest false dichotomy yet. You are a walking fallacy. Maybe you should participate in a conversation more suited to your skill set, like The View.
Seeing Putin and Xi buddying up at the winter games reminds me that they have something in common for the near future, expansion of territory by force, Putin in Ukraine, and Xi in Taiwan. They were probably discussing strategies for taking over these countries. I'm sure that Xi is watching the Ukraine situation closely to see what he can get away with.

Agreed the best approach is to go to war with Russia, that is what educated sane and enlightened people would do. Stop listening to Joe Rogan and Alex Jones. If you work at LLNL I expect that went to college and know better.

It is about much more than that. Try to keep up with actual global threats to democratic countries. The US administration may be blinded by progressive nonsense but other countries aren't.
