"Bracing..."??? Why? You should be rejoicing (unless you fear being replaced by someone who wants your job more than you do, and is better at it).

Adam Rowen (who does not have a Ph.D.) is no longer the manager of the materials chemistry department at Sandia.

Pray tell! What happened to Adam Rowen? I heard some weird things went down in the materials chemistry department.
Rowan and Martin hosted a show called "Laugh In" in the 60's. That's all I know.
