True, there are other things not in common, such as property taxes, traffic congestion, accessible outdoor recreation, smog, quality public schools, wages, and the view from the office and lab.
LANS and LLNS are anchored at the hip. After 2018, LANS 2.0 and LLNS will be anchored at the hip.
Since most of the "action" (aka screw ups) happens at LANL, most of the postings are about that site. If you get a blog on only LLNL stuff, the cricket chirping will drown out the the postings.

This thread adequately makes the case for separate blogs. LANL hss internal difficulties and difficult anti-social posters. LLNLs difficulties are external and posters are informed, heloful and composed.
