I hope the article is not selling snake oil. If it is true, it certainly improves the future use of EV's by not depending on countries that may not have the best interests of the United States in mind. The problem still exists about the source of electricity to charge the batteries and the grid to distribute the power. Windmills and solar don't work well on a dark and stormy night.
