Yes, but suppose the drones actually are from a foreign adversary and they are being used to disperse WMD such as anthrax? Some people are reporting sicknesses as you know. It could be even worse than a nuclear attack, and surely the public would demand nuclear retaliation meaning World War III might commence in time for the holidays.

Drones flying in mass at night, with operational exterior lighting, not trying to be stealthy, actually being visible for the safety of other air traffic (?). The night may offer better signal to noise ratios for radiation detection.
