The requirements for being a MAGA cabinet member is to be highly sycophantic.
You can see that in cabinet meetings where they disgustingly go around the table praising him for being part of his cabinet.
A fossil fuel CEO doesn't qualify him for anything. I am glad I am no longer associated with the labs!!

The irony of the current day is that tension and problems with the White House only says nice things about Wright. Maybe he is a slightly less horrible person than I imagined. To serve this President well, one must be an awful person without ethics, morals or intellgence. Genuinely selling your soul to a devil.

“To serve this President well, one must be an awful person without ethics, morals or intellgence.”

That’s pretty rich. So where does DOE Secretary Hazel R. O’Leary fit into your broad brush analysis? You know, the DOE Secretary that made all Lab employees wear the same color badge, because “red badges” and “green badges” were discriminatory and demeaning? Also known for extravagant travel “material girl” expenses. You can’t make this stuff up.

Speaking of Hazel O’Leary then you have Bill Richardson during the UC vs Wen Ho Lee trial wanted Congress to allow UNM to compete against UC instead we got Bechtel and cronies out of that deal. Must have been one of those off the hill back room deals made in that area between the real life Breaking Bad and El Dorado

Old article from October 2025... Seems S-1 Wright has proven it wrong as he's still around and was trusted enough by the sicko slug in the WH to be one of two cabinet members in the WH Situation bunker at the start of the War with Iran.

This is whataboutism. Not a defense. This is a dodge and an excuse. A superhighway to mediocrity.

The Democrats have plenty of awful cabinet members. This does not excuse the incompetence, greed, corruption, stupidity, and conflicts of interest of the current ones. This is the worst cabinet in the history of the country, serving a completely incompetent President. The fact that Democrats or other Republican administrations have been served by imperfect people does not excuse the current batch. Yes, Hazel did some stupid shit (the badge stuff was horrendous), and she also did some good things (declassifying documents that had no business being classified). Nothing about her pro or con is an excuse for this administration.

This article isn't credible and Chris Wright isn't cutting renewables funding. In fact, he has been increasing funding for geothermal which may be a more practical solution than other technologies thanks to new drilling technologies.
