Going forward, how will socialist or communist associations or allegiances, impact one’s ability to acquire or maintain a Q-Clearance? Because in the past, such associations could be a clearance disqualification.

As in past do you mean 1950 to 1954? I think the McCarthy era is over.
You know Zohran Mamdani is not actually a communist. I would not vote for for him but the whole but calling these people communists is nonsense. At the same time Trump is a fascist is also nonsense.
The final page of the PSQ (circa 2013) asks questions about overthrowing the government or acts of terrorism. The last question on the form I last filled out was:
"Have you EVER associated with anyone involved in activities to further terrorism?"
So if you say you support a group that in turn supports Hamas you might be in for a fun interview.
If you support someone who wants to abolish the Senate you better clarify that such action should be done by amending the constitution. Otherwise, once again you may be in for a fun interview.
If you put down the name of a person as a reference and THEY have views that may be considered violent, you are in for a fun interview. On that last point, I have personal experience.
I always wondered about John Brown's raid on Harper's Ferry. It did come up in his trial that he had written a new constitution of sorts:

In modern times as you know there is a campaign to pardon him

“Amending the constitution”?
By what means? How about open the borders and say it is closed, offer free sh_t, allow 20 million illegals to flood in, and be against voter ID. The average 6th grader can figure this one out.
Historically there were other periods in American history where people flooded in, or the territory of the US expanded placing more people under its jurisdiction. Also prior to the civil war, slaves were given 3/5 of a vote, but this was cast "on their behalf" by voters of each state -- an injustice which gave oppressors more political power over the oppressed. The 13th amendment banned slavery and in theory the 14th and 15th gave actual representation, although this was not true in fact until the 1965 voting rights act. Native americans were not generally citizens until 1924, and did not vote in Arizona and New Mexico until 1948.
In the 1800's many states did allow "declarant aliens" to vote, that is immigrants who had filed papers declaring intent to naturalize, if they met other qualifications, such as being white male property owners.
