The NNSA labs are going all in on AI and want everything done with AI, all data for AI, all work to be done with AI. The faster the faster, go fast and break things. Also the tech oligarchs are the people we need to follow. We are in critical race to achieve super intelligence, we have have sprint at top speed to get there. Our core mission is now AI and only AI.
I cannot possibly be see any risk in this whatsoever.
To be clear it will not lead to human extinction, we will still need managers, admins, guards, maintenance, and construction. Most of all we will need leaders, visionaries and pathbreakers and those with the 10,000 foot view.
Sure there will be lot so changes. If you are a specialist with you narrow tech skill in the past your skillset was valuable. Now AI can do all the tech work far better so it will those who see the big picture that that will thrive.
Bernie is is just being over the top in order to get people to vote. Sure things are changing and there will be winers and losers but this is not going to lead to human extinction.
It use to be "learn to code" was the phrase people who need to adapt. Of course now there is no need to code or coders, so today the motto is "learn to have vision or lean to lead".
