I have received a notice from LLNS by US mail ($0.41 postage) that states: "Based on you annual earnings, you may be eligible to receive the Earned Income Tax Credit from the federal government. The Earned Income Tax Credit is a refundable income tax credit for low-income working individuals and families. ....."
Since I am a double-dipper earning well over $200K per year, I am not sure what kind of records these clowns are keeping. On second thought, compared with the salaries of the ULM, maybe I am low income.

What a waste of paper and postage.
Every body got them!
I wonder what the real cost of that notice is according to our current costing system, probably $5 per notice!
Hey Stevie, you are supposed to find these kind of savings!
Lots and lots of federal and state income taxes even after sheltering the max 401K of both parties. They probably pay enough in federal, state, social security and medicare to pay the full wages of some federal employees. No matter which way you look at it, the government is not going to let you keep the money. You're either going to pay a lot of interest on a loan or multiple loans or you're going to give it to some welfare recipient. Some people make so much that they still need a mortgage after retirement just to keep uncle sam away from THEIR money. Just remember one rule. The more you make the more they take. For some being they make so little that they must be totally debt free before retirement or they will never retire. Then when they do they'll qualify for food stamps. This probably represents the majority of the LLNL blue collar workers.
