Gross miscalculation?

Bruzer said:

Did Anyone else read in the "Daily Clips" Monday, that between Sandia & LLNL they will be hiring 500 employees due to the expected number of employees that will be naturally retiring?
I think what really is going on is they just now figured out they laid off too many outstanding employees and won't have the correct talent available come 2012!!!

400 managers to create additional regulations and procedures for mere mortals doomed to die.

90 special managers at large to come up with newer and dumber ways to waste money in their halls of fine stone.

9 new ADs to ride fell beasts, swooping down to snatch anyone with talent and then drop the to their death ( professionally ).

1 moron to rule them all and in the darkness bind them.

Well all I can say is "I'll believe it when I see it"....

To date I have yet to see them do as they 'promise/say'...!!

So, will they begin to re-call some VERY good FTE folks who were let go due and only due to the seniority factor.

I personally was let go because I promoted "too fast and could not compete with seniority".

And before I get 'slammed' with negative feedback, I do have 11 years worth of PA's to back that one.

My last classification served I had 6 years of service....via fell into the low numbers of those being ISP'd.

This currently unemployed ISP'd would greatly enjoy the opportunity to work once again-the employer doesn't matter at this point, what does matter is becoming once again gainfully employed and taking pride in a full days work for a full days pay!!!

Sandia has announced that they intend to hire 80 people for the California site in the next year. I don't know about the New Mexico site.

I hope they hire back those layed off first. They were good quality people for the most part. Yes, PA's were altered to shift people around as layoff candidates.
