So for all the money the U.S. government dumped into Livermore to do research and development on laser isotope separation (LIS) the only thing we got was for Los Alamos and Livermore Executives to say "yeah the GE concept works". What an embarrassment! The Labs have an overly high opinion their expertise.
The only "gold seal" left on the GE AVLIS concept is to pay Sig Hecker a few thousand bucks to say "yeah the GE concept works". The Labs will do or say anything for a few bucks now.
