"deaf ears"?? Sheesh. I'd assume the mayor of Espanola, who only spoke up yesterday, will have similar luck.
Yeah, Sharon Stover is in Washington trying to save her husband Steve Girrens job who is the AD for Engineering at LANS. Sharon always refers to her husband and an "engneer". Girrens couldn't engineer himself out of a paper bag!

I give Stover for having he wisdom not to use her husbands name Girrens. Here is a guy who was a complete failure at W-Division Leader, left the Lab and failed at that. A guy who is nicknamed "Rambo" because of his bullying and intimidating the staff. Another LANS Management gem!
Nah. Anybody can start a blog and make claims about focus, intent, and dedication. Doesn't make it interesting or useful.
When LANS management 'selects' the 300 RIFees, I hope they realize it didn't have to be that many: maybe 'only' 250 if those excluded employees wanting to take the VSP were allowed to do so.
No one can predict the impact that being RIF'd will have on the employees, their families, and communities: but there will likely be instances where the impact is severe...or worse.
LANS could easily do the 'right thing'--the HUMAN thing--and review the list of excluded employees. Certainly, not all of them are in positions nearly as 'critical' as LANS claims. But they won't. LANS managers don't have a 'human side': the conceited, greedy, coporate, Bechtel philosopy has long since replaced their humanity.
Too bad there are still a lot of employees remaining at LANL who still don't "get it". Perhaps they never will.
