If we bury the fuel rods without recovering the U235 that is remaining in them, the reports I have read estimate that the world runs out of U235 in less than 30 years. So if you want a fission reactor component for energy production, it is essential to reprocess before burial.

We?? You are the one burying the fuel rods? Who do you work for? Or are you just assuming that the people who decide to and actually bury the rods are somehow connected to you? Hint: They aren't and couldn't care less what you think about it. You are nothing to them. So much for "we."
