so, what do we have here? The DOE funds, to the tune of 100K per year, an organization called "regional coalition of LANL communities" with an annual budget of 212K. The executive director salary consumes 2/3 of this budget. This organization leads the lobbying effort for the state of New Mexico to tax nonprofit operators of Los Alamos National Laboratory. In the midst of a contract competition run by the DOE, no less. The DOE then pays 100M to the state of New Mexico in gross receipt tax...
