Do you want a battery with nuclear waste? The public will not want to go near this stuff. Maybe for space craft.
Most the garbage about, “massive quantities of nuclear waste” is false. The fact that you can harness the energy from nuclear decay isn’t new at all. The demonstration of microWatt batteries is less than impressive.
Microwatts for a spacecraft application? Better stick with Pu-238.
