I hope the National Labs can provide scientific expertise to this endeavor.
A big problem of storage and transmission of the gas would need to be overcome. I do not have the expertise to say whether or not the existing infrastructure for natural gas could be easily converted to handle hydrogen, and whether or not the end equipment (domestic or industrial) could be easily converted to handle hydrogen as a fuel source.
I do believe that this has better potential of succeeding compared to electrical cars.
Since the byproduct of burning hydrogen is water, will a climate activist claim we're adding to much water to the planet.
