Evidently there is a variant of the virus that is heavily mutated or altered to escape current vaccines and natural immunity, not too much is known about it yet:

There is also talk that LANL is in settlement talks with group of people who brought a joint lawsuit against the lab after they where fired/put on leave without pay for not talking the vaccination.

I would have thought lab legal would have gone through everything before they made the decision but I am sure something got missed.

The other rumors is some managers are leaving LANL because of the lawsuit.

What is odd is that it seems like LANL was he only NNSA lab that sent people home without pay. Looks like they where asking for trouble.

There were some people at Livermore that left the lab when they first started with the vaccine mandate before the lab came out with exemptions. The straw that broke the camels back at that point for some.

Regarding being sent home without pay, at this point the way this was handled you might as well just keep that personal medical information to yourself. Then again some tech supervisors with a HS education try to practice medicine.

You guys know COVID has been shown to cause substantial cognitive decline, right? Like it ages your brain by a decade or more, even if you are lucky enough not to get brain fog. That's why people like Bill Maher now mix up their words all the time and overall sound like they've got dementia.
For a site full of people obsessed with IQ, it's kind of incredible you aren't trying to push for mandates to avoid a virus.
