The big fear that is often voiced is that if we resume nuclear testing then the rest of the world will do so including new entries to the nuclear club. Our abstinence doesn't seem to have impeded North Korea or Iran's efforts.
I truly hope that the Stockpile Stewardship program has worked, but I have a nagging doubt based on the adage of GIGO, Garbage In, Garbage Out. Or, put in other terms, The Proof is in the Pudding.
