Look in your mailbox.

Anonymously contributed:

Everyone look in your mailboxes because coming soon, in a big white envelope, is more good news pertaining to our benefits. Once everyone has some time to do the math I suggest we open up a new post pertaining to the subject. I gave it a once over after a couple glasses of my favorate beverage and decided perhaps a better frame of mind was needed before getting serious about the increases, after all is said and looking at my glass as half full, the only good thing that comes to mind is we still have some choices. We may not like them but they are choices!
FEELIN bruzed again all over!!

This is why the public is starting to warm to health care reform. They may sorta like what they have now, but they see the writing on the wall that employer benefits will continue to shrink. In 1970 health care was 7% of GDP. Its well over double that now. There are good reasons for that---people living longer, incredible technology, and also bad reasons. It will be interesting to see where it ends up.

My company is instating what they are calling "Co-insurance" which basically means that I now have to cover 20% of all lab work, x-rays, and the like. This is to keep in line with "what is in the market".

Those that say there insurance is "just fine the way it is" are in denial as to how much the company pays, how much goes to insurance company profits, and how bad it can easily get.

Pay more, get less.

What else is new with LLNS, price is going up for the employees, benefits are going down, and further down next year - substantially equivelent to who?

At this rate employers will pay nothing towards your health care, the burton will be on you or we will all be on Govt sponsered Insurance....or none at all.

A quick look at the open enrollment booklet indicates that my monthly deduction increases significantly and my co-payments increase.

In the past LLNS/UC provided us with data that showed both the employer and employee were sharing in the pain. LLNs is now just telling us to bend over and enjoy it.

Great examples of why even the insured need to be involved in Health Care reform.

Get involved now, before legislation is passed. Call your Senators and Reps!!

Welcome to the LLNS version of "for-profit" corporate America. You're nothing but an "economic unit" that can be replaced. Shut up and be thankful for what little we give you. We'll be taking even that away in the next few years.

NNSA's substantially equivalent promise was a fib to help make you feel better during the difficult transition. We need to cut back on employee expenses so our LLNS executives can pig out with bigger bonuses and higher salaries. Now, kiss the ring and obey.

7:23, Substantially equivalent was NOT a fib.

It was just another lie!
