In Bechtel's Deputy Lab Director "rotation scheme" at LANS/LLNS, Ike Richardson is being transferred from one salt mine at Los Alamos to another mine in Australia. Does anyone know exactly what Ike accomplished during his short stay at LANL?
Tri-Valley Cares needs to be on this if they aren't already. We need to make sure that NNSA and LLNL does not make good on promises to pursue such stupid ideas as doing Plutonium experiments on NIF. The stupidity arises from the fact that a huge population is placed at risk in the short and long term. Why do this kind of experiment in a heavily populated area? Only a moron would push that kind of imbecile area. Do it somewhere else in the god forsaken hills of Los Alamos. Why should the communities in the Bay Area be subjected to such increased risk just because the lab's NIF has failed twice and is trying the Hail Mary pass of doing an SNM experiment just to justify their existence? Those Laser EoS techniques and the people analyzing the raw data are all just BAD anyways. You know what comes next after they do the experiment. They'll figure out that they need larger samples. More risk for the local population. Stop this imbecilic pursuit. They wan...

The corrupt good ol' boy system now has a good ol' gal. I'm sure she'll be very well compensated for her new position as LANS deputy director.
With UC concurance, Bechtel provides a short-timer that cannot possibly contribute since the core competencies take years to master. So the madmen of DOE make noises, UC tries to pick up the pieces and Bechtel provides a $35M per year rookie bust. (Rizzo, Lytle, Gionconda...)
DOE doesn't notice because as the failed privitization of the labs and Solyndra show,
DOE can't tell it buttocks from a warm rock.
Hell, even Barry Zito's failure is small in comparison.
The game of thrones...
Too honest?
Ronald Reagan 1980 campaign recommendation
Stop complaining, if you don't like it at the labs leave. Your parents should have taught you that life is not fair. I am sure we can replace everyone at the labs with eager people who are out of work right now
who sure as hell would not be complaining about managers.
Thanks for that oh, so insightful tip, Brett Knapp.
So taxpayers also should stop complaining about the DOE and NNSA squandering their hard-earned cash on these LLCs, or leave the country?
Maybe, just maybe, some people complain because they are trying to right a wrong...not just abandon it to rot and reward the wrongdoing.

This wasn't a complaint. You can't handle the TRUTH you big baby!

Didn't you forget "minimum wage professional labor" Bret? I mean we need to ensure there's enough money for your tax payer funded Southwest flights, bonuses for every DAHRT shot, tax payer supplied Cayenne, dry cleaned suits, and your ridiculous salary. All for a Cal Poly BS degree.

How would you know what the truth is?
If you have a problem with how the lab is run than nothing is stopping you from leaving.
Cal Poly is a very good undergraduate engineering school. In that category of schools, the current U.S. News rankings place it tied for fifth with the Naval Academy and Air Force Academy. Not bad company.

"Very good" isn't good enough. Cal Poly is a secondary state university for those students who don't qualify academically to get into the University of California schools. The high caliber and most prestigious universities in California are the University of California at Berkeley and Stanford University. I bet money Knapp couldn't get into those universities.
Opps. The California Institute of Technology. All due respects Dr. Feynman.
Don't even use Knapp's name in the same breath as these schools.
Yes, but he is a trained "attack dog" who does exactly what his handlers above him request him to do. That's the main reason he has moved up the management ladder so quickly. He's utterly ruthless. You don't need a high IQ to handle the "ruthless" part.
