Never going to happen. These rumors are worthless. LANS is on track, on budget and dedicated to the long term management of LANL as a scientific center of excellence.
You need to re-watch McMillan's latest All-Hands talk ( it's great stuff! ), esp. the discussions on "Belief" and then start giving 110% to the LANS team effort or get out.

I hear one of the team building activities that was proposed for management was to actually bring out ceremonial Kool aid as it is suppose to symbolize loyalty or something. -

There is no, none, nada, nothing, in talk among LANL staff about "LANS being gone" soon. Just rabble-rousing on the part of some wishful thinkers. Most employees are just trying to get their jobs done. The small but persistent cadre of malcontents and chaos-seekers will of course do what they do best. Nothing new here.

There is a word for the mistaken assumption that a subset (posters on this blog) of a whole (LANL employees) reflects the characteristics of the whole (e.g., demographics, opinions), but I'm too bored to try to remember what it is. -

Yeah, apparently the LAO (Leback) just adores Charlie "GQ" McMillan. I've seen her "cuddle up" to Charlie in meetings. It's enough to make you barf.

Rumor has it that our good friends at Bechtel are coming to fix the problems. Unfortunately, they are part of the problem by dropping in people who are not committed to the lab or the mission, cost too much money, and leave before somebody figures out that they cause the problems. The sane can be said for BWXT and URS.

Didn't Bechtel arrive at the Labs 9-years ago? Or is that their excuse for screwing the Labs over; that they just arrived? Or does that mean that their destruction has just begun? If so, we are in for a long-haul. -

runing LANL (UC?) for a year before the next contract bid. It is that bad for LANS.
