What is to become of the current NNSA Los Alamos Field Office staff when LANS is history for repeated poor performance? Will the same staff retain oversight responsibilities for the next LANL contractor?

"In order to provide oversight in the diverse areas associated with the LANL mission, the field office employs subject matter experts in such fields as physical and cybersecurity, safety, national security, nuclear facility operations, environmental protection and stewardship, radioactive waste management, quality assurance, business and contract administration, and project management."

The field office should become a home less shelter.
wishful thinking?? vacancy announcements are being posted for engineering, safety and contract management staff for laso. it appears laso is ramping up, not down.
Hiring more under-qualified staff at the site office isn't going to improve performance, but it might stop it.
What is the value added of the NNSA Los Alamos Field Office Staff if not to minimize substandard operations at LANL? Are they just the rear view mirror "report card" writers?
The field office could disappear completely and safety, efficiency, compliance, morale and integrity would all improve. Costs would go down, and the best office space in town would become available.
Maybe some of the others, but not integrity.
Charlie set the bar at an all time low when he insisted on keeping his personal choice for deputy on the job for several years after her numerous and flagrant ethics lapses came to light. Not a big fan of LAFO, but none of them had a federal debarment from contracting like Charlie's deputy did.
