As with whistleblower cases and other wrongful terminations, the DOE/NNSA will financially bankroll their contractor to the hilt for all of their legal expenses to defend themselves against former contractor employees. Former DOE/NNSA contractor employee lives "DON'T matter" in practice.

DOE (taxpayers) reimbursed UC/LLNL 10 million dollars for legal fees to defend themselves against the Dee Kotla lawsuit, and the NNSA (taxpayers) reimbursed LLNS over 20 million dollars for legal fees to defend themselves against the 130 employee wrongful termination class action lawsuit. When kids have near unlimited use of their parents credit cards, don't expect rational behavior to ensue.

LLNL Contractors Past and Present: Full Measure "Legal Swindle"

To Quote former Vice-Admiral Pete Nanos, “my lawyers are more expensive than your lawyers.” The DOE/AEC has a very long history of using the legal system to abuse it’s own.

Sad but true, but I doubt such negative information will reach "Glassdoor" review or prospective Lab employees.
Congress must act without delay, or the technical death spiral will continue at the NNSA Labs.

So Cisco fired some people after their mandatory virtual all hands meeting on BLM

https://www.businessinsider.com/cisco-employees-fired-racist-comments-black-lives-matter-2020-7

What I want to know is why has not LLNL, LANL, Sandia or the NNSA had a mandatory virtual all hands on the the issues of racism in the US and BLM? It is almost like the don't care. I think it is a matter of time before they get called out on this. The other issue is suppose some one does make a racist remark like "all lives matter" or "one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character"
during the question period or has that in their sig file, is there any way to fire these people? I see a few of those signs on lawns like "This households supports, BLM, LGBTQ, women ...ect" but what I find most stunning is the number of houses that don't have these signs. This is on top of the Los Alamos protests that I have to say have been rather small and not very inspiring, maybe things in Livermore are better.

I can't tell if the post of 7/20/2020 11:02 PM is tongue in cheek or not. We need a satire font.

I hope it is in satire, otherwise proclaiming "all lives matter" is racist sends a chill to the concept of free speech. A mandatory virtual meeting to discuss systemic racism and BLM? Salem Witch Trials and the Spanish Inquisition come next?

We are already there, you better start pointing fingers and screaming witch now before they point the finger at you and scream witch. The purge is coming and no one is safe so you better get ready now. Most nations have gone through some kind of purge in some form or another even the USA in the 50s with the red scare. This time it is going to be much worse but it is already starting I don't see any situation that can change this, if Trump loses, the purge goes into full effect. if Trump wins that many institutions are going to full on crazy and the purge goes into effect. The wheels are in motion and I only see people running to cover themselves. So yes you better get that BLM sticker on your car or sig file, keep you mouth shut and hide. Even then it is still coming. The question is when will the NNSA labs come on board with this, when will somebody say that Mason has to go because he was not standing up in June for equality and shutting down LANL for week for diversity training? What happens if your neighbor sees you with Goya food? What happens when it found out that you did not attend a protest or that you told someone you support the police. What happens when you kid finds out that you did not vote for the right person. When happens when the teacher finds out that you did not support the right person and they will want to "resist" by making your children suffer. It is for the greater good after all. Suppose someone found that you had someone under you voted the wrong way or had the wrong opinion and they find out that you did not demote that person or give then a bad evaluation. You will be just as complicit and have to go as well. You better start turning on anyone around you now who is not on board with the right opinion, so when they come for you, you better have names, dates and places to throw people under the bus because you better believe you are also on someones list. You better go all in as as far as possible as these purges always turn on themselves so you better be two three layers deep and hope the madness stopes before it then. Remember all those virtue signaling friends of yours who attend protests or put signs on their lawns sure they are fine for the start of this but they get it on the next round, so you better have a plan to turn on these people when it gets to that and it will get to that.

Again many nations have gone through this before and it is simply part of human nature and the USA will not be the exception. You don't believe me, ask your self this, do you believe in the first amendment and the spirit of the first amendment? If you said no, then you see my point. Suppose you said yes, now ask yourself this, how many people do you know that fundamentally do not believe in the first amendment and its spirit. If you say 50% or more then you see my point. Not has many people believe in freedom as you think.

Scooby, Why was this wrongful termination topic allowed to accept unrelated BLM comments? Apparently someone wants to divert the discussion far away from wrongful terminations at LLNL. Perhaps BLM should be an independent topic? Thanks

"So Cisco fired some people after their mandatory virtual all hands meeting on BLM"

That was the transition between the 2 topics.

Good point, but it is not clear why the LLNL person was terminated. Is he claiming whistle blower retaliation?
