The GBSD is coming under attack
The GBSD is coming under attack. Note the hysteria among the supporters.
Do we really need a triad anymore? The cold war is long over I thing we can reduce our number of nukes at least by half compared to the cold war. 1/3 will not matter anyway.
I seem to remember that fixed ICBM silos were obsolete on the late 1970’s. I think that’s why the MX missile was developed with this mobile rail system. It was never deployed. Now ICBMs in silos are essential. Total BS.
The Russian cold war is long over. The Chinese one is just beginning. And they are a much more serious and formidable opponent worldwide.

It kind makes sense what you are saying. The only reason I do not but your theory is that if you look at the news I see lots of stuff about Russia being a threat, partly in the last 4 years. I see a few things about China but not to the level of Russia.
I believe that Mao thought nuclear weapons were a “paper tiger”. They only have 200-300 nukes and are committed to a second strike only policy. Not exactly the existential threat that the Soviets posed.
"Only" 200-300?? I think that's enough, given their obviously superior targeting and staging capabilities, to enforce whatever geopolitical result they want.
China is not stupid. Those 300 nukes are for Russia anyway. In case you have not been paying attention the big threat to democracy is Russia. They interfered with our election and got Trump elected. They are constantly on the internet creating discord and pushing conspiracy theories. I suspect that this blog has a regular Russian troll.
Russia is a 19th century country with 21st century ambitions. The real threat to the US is China. Once they take back Taiwan (giving them almost complete control of worldwide chip production), completely subjugate Hong Kong (giving them complete control of a large fraction of the world's financial markets), establish compete control over the South China Sea, the East China Sea, and the Yellow Sea (giving them complete control over trade in the Western Pacific), the US will be relegated to third world status, all by doing absolutely nothing, which is Biden's plan.
I suspect that 5:21PM is a Russian troll. It has all the hallmarks of one. First of all the anti-China stuff comes from right wing and Trump supporters. If you look at the education level of such people it is very low, so there is no way an a right wing American could have written such a post with this much knowledge and clarity. The second is only highly education americans know anything about geography, like that the location of Yellow sea, the Western Pacific act, but again highly educated Americans generally know that Russia is the big threat as seen from the past four years. Another dead giveaway is they are claiming Russia is a 19th century country. If that is the case how is it they completely hacked the US election system in 2016 and placed in a puppet president? Only a very advanced nation could do that.
In conclusion the post is so well written, clear and with knowledge of geography and the status of Taiwan and Hong Kong that it could not be written by a American. It has to be a Russian troll.
Another thing that gives them away is that they talk about Taiwan as a separate nation from China, Taiwan is part of China.

Exactly the media did not spend four years saying Trump got elected by Russia for nothing. They provided real evidence for four years and continue to do so today. It is so hilarious seeing these brain dead right wingers go on about their fake news and conspiracies that 2020 election is not legitimate yet at the same time do not understand that the 2016 electron was totally fraudulent and controlled by the Russians.
Again I think there are Russian trolls on this very blog trying they best to put Trump or some other minion back into power. Russia is the enemy. Again I tell you people to stop watching fake news like Fox, that nutcase Carlson and so on. Because the threat is so real I think Biden should make an executive order to ban this fake news and clean up the internet. There needs to be real accountability for this last for years. We are going after various politicians now but I think the people then enabled this also need to have some consequences, like all those who voted for Trump twice. If you voted for Trump you are supporting our enemy Russia and want to sow insurrection. Sorry but but you need to be taught a real lesson. The first session is to acknowledge that Russia is our biggest threat, followed by white supremacy and that China is not a threat. Let us start with that and maybe we can talk about letting you people back into polite society. I think the labs should seriously look at their workforce to see who might be complicit with Trump and hence Russia. At this point you either know Trump worked for Russia and you are ok with it or you total brain dead idiot either way you do not belong in the labs.
