Pentagon Sounds Alarm Over Accelerating Pace Of China's Nuke Stockpile: "1,000 Warheads By 2030

The key and most alarming element to the report suggests China is planning to quadruple its nuclear weapons stockpile over the next decade.
The new analysis finds that for the 2020 review, the Pentagon woefully underestimated China's expanding ambitions regarding its nuclear arsenal. Whereas last year's estimate forecast the country would have more than 400 nuclear warheads by 2030, the new 2021 report posits over 700 by 2027, and with a likely intent by China to produce over 1,000 warheads by 2030.
Meanwhile the NNSA labs anticipate making diversity equity and inclusion the priority for the complex by 2030. The labs are steeped in a legacy of structural racism and outdated notions of gender roles. With new administration we can begin a transformative approach to the lab systems that can overcome the past inequities. As for China, who cares, the United states has 230 years of wrongdoing we need to address before we can even think about telling or addressing other nations. We need to get our house in order first before we have anything to say to China, Iran, Isreal, Russia or any other nation. Worrying about China is just a distraction, we just had an insurrection at our Nations capital. Instead of worrying about if we have enough nukes to stop China we should retool our NNSA workforce to concentrate on domestic threats and we have about 86 million domestic threats.

Is this the same Pentagon that missed the prediction of China's Hypersonic missile?
In reality, China does not have to invest in all of this weapon technology to defeat the US. They just need to sit back and watch CRT, Equity and the alphabet soup gender pronoun wars destroy the US from within. They can come over and pick up the pieces after we've destroyed ourselves. They do have to consider who is going to buy all of those high priced sneakers when the woke go broke.
So the CRT training was removed from Sandia and other labs and I have seen nothing about it returning. The question is will there be some kind of mandate for everyone to take this training again? Right now the left is saying CRT is only taught in graduate schools but this ignored the basic tenet of the CRT is that the systems itself are structurally racists. In fact the concept of structural racism comes from CRT. The issue then being taught in schools and in the training is that most of the systems in the US such as legal, school, criminal, and so on have racism baked in them even though they have no explicit racist policy. Similarly the idea of implicit racism, where you are racist even though you have no idea that you are.
AOC even said as much
Watch what AOC has to say about this ... in her mind, refusing to embrace a Critical Race Theory-based curriculum is akin to willfully ignoring how racism impacted the nation from its inception. The one thing she hints at, but doesn't quite verbalize, is that CRT makes the leap of framing racial dynamics in the present ... discussing how some institutions are *still* steeped in racism, and how that affects people of color today.Truth is, there are a lot of people who don't understand what Critical Race Theory is at all ... or have been misinformed about it. And, as AOC notes here, it's been weaponized to really trigger some people -- especially parents.
I contend that people understand CRT has saying exactly this that "institutions are still steeped in racism", and hence white people are still racist. This is what CRT really means in in fact was started initially on legal studies but states all systems and white people are racists even if you cannot find a policy or if people say they are not racist.
By the way schools have being teaching about race in America, civil rights, and injustices for some time, like 100 years now. What schools and workforce training are now adding is that beyond the past is that these things are still effective today. This is they key to understanding what the common perceived version of CRT is. Yet there is no evidence that any current system in the US is racist, there is not one law policy, or active you can find in any US system that you can show has racism. If a white person says they are not racist there is no evidence what soever to show that they lying.
If you are going to teach or train this stuff you have to provide evidence that any of this is true. Even CRT in its original studies as applied to the current legal system has no evidence to support such a claim. Sure you can put out the hypothesis that the legal system is actually racists but no one has ever found any evidence for this after you actually look at the data. The idea that implicit bias exists again is a hypothesis but once again no real evidence for this has been found, what studies that exist actually show the opposite.
In sumo there is simply no reason to believe that any current system in the US is racist, there is no reason to believe that structural racism exists, there is no reason to believe that implicate bias exists. If this is being taught in schools or training then that is what is being considered as CRT.
All of this makes me wonder what the centurions on Rome's wall thought as the barbarian hordes approached and the fires of discontent raged inside the walls.

You forgot COVID, and the resulting civil war over vaccination and masks. The perfect weapon.

Nonetheless the issue still stands which is something we are going to have to face which is the major threat to the US is not from China but our homegrown terrorists who tried to violently overthrow our nation.
That's a regression; they don't even sound the same.
Maybe China can partner up with Bechtel in the next bid to build pits at TA-55. I’d give that combo far better odds than Mason et al.
