In light of recent events are LLNL and LANL more relevant now or less relevant now. I can see both sides. If one had read the LANL or LLNL Blogs since 2006 several posters have pointed out that Russia or China could be watching how we treated the national weapons lab that the US may not have a credible deterrent. I am pretty sure that China was not calling all their lab scientists cowboys and butt-heads that could be easily replaced by just random people. I am pretty sure they did privatize their labs as to sleazy for-profit companies. I am pretty sure they did have public hearings saying how the labs are full of arrogant eggheads who "don't get it".

I would say LANL and LLNL are not relevant. It looks like Ukraine may be able to defeat the Russians on their own with conventional weapons. The man on the ground is the game changer in todays world, look at Ukraine fighting back, look at the George Floyd protests, look at the Antifa protests. These are all events that changed the world, not outdated nuclear weapons at outdated facilities. Putin and Trump are being defeated right now in Kiyv by people with resolve to fight fascism. Ukraine defeated fascism in 1944, the US defeated it in 2020 and Ukraine will defeat it again in 2022. As always it will be the man on the ground not the ICBM silo. LANL and LLNL are outdated relics.
Ignorance of the reality of lies and deceptions (=most mainstream news and establishment decrees) is bliss because exposing yourself to that is self-propagandization.
Ignorance of truths (especially if they’re upsetting) is not, or only temporarily or rarely, bliss because it is ultimately self-defeating.
