From the Huffington Post Why Workplace Jargon Is A Big Problem http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/04/25/work-words_n_5159868.html?utm_hp_ref=business&ir=Business When we replace a specific task with a vague expression, we grant the task more magnitude than it deserves. If we don't describe an activity plainly, it seems less like an easily achievable goal and more like a cloudy state of existence that fills unknowable amounts of time. A fog of fast and empty language has seeped into the workplace. I say it's time we air it out, making room for simple, concrete words, and, therefore, more deliberate actions. By striking the following 26 words from your speech, I think you'll find that you're not quite as overwhelmed as you thought you were. China or NIF....
I think China is the safer bet.
Uh, I guess the “Star on Earth” banner hanging on the National Ignition Facility was a horrific misprint. What are the odds?

Nope, just a flat-out lie from the start. Everyone who mattered knew it was about weapon secondaries. Except maybe the Secretary of Energy.

There are millions of people that believe that the earth is flat, or (and?) that Trump won the 2020 election by a landslide. Please don't begrudge the handful of true believers in laser driven ICF as a viable commercial source of energy. Like MAGA, it's a religion.

Not to begrudge your point about NIF but I doubt there are millions who believe Trump won in a landslide. I doubt there are millions who ever believed in Q. Now there are millions who think there could have been some weird things about the election and if there was not the mass mail in voting due to Covid Trump would have won. That may be close to half the people on both sides. The problem with that is that it was not technically cheating and the mail in voting could have added a boost to both Republicans and Democrats but it would tend to go more towards Dems due to the high urban concentration. Also if it was the other way around and it benefited the Republicans I am sure they would be just fine with it. It is just odd the MSM goes on about how you must be crazy to even think there was some odd things about the 2020 election, when in fact there was many odd things due to the Covid, but I do not believe in any grand conspiracies.
By the way this is not the same as absentee ballots people seem very confused about this. I do not doubt that there are some MAGA people how are almost religious in there thinking but there are millions that are not. You do not come across like a serious person when you compare flat earthers to Trump voters. You just sound like someone repeating talking points you found on the internet. By they way so much of this is hype. For example the Q-anon stuff, I hear it all the time as an insult and on MSM yet I even though I must know hundreds of people who are republicans I do not not know a single one that believes in Q, not one. In fact few even know what it is, yet my Democrat friends all insist that all republicans believe in Q. Something does not add up.
Scooby will allow your post on but will no doubt make sure this one does not come out.
