Putin threatens the West
Putin threatens the West with total nuclear destruction leaving 'no chance of survival' in the event of a strike on Russia as he warns his 'Satan-2' and 'Flying Chernobyl' missiles are ready for use in ranting anti-US speech.
This is a lot of talk. What I want to know is what happens if Putin tests a nuke. Would this really put fear into the west that this is serious or would it just make the west want to take out Russia even faster. Also what if the test is a failure? Would we test?
Things could be getting very interesting in the next 14 months, as we could have ww3, a civil war or both. Well at least NIF works. Maybe a Nobel next year.

Even the mainstream media is now saying the odds of a normal 2024 election are thin and that with everything going on something big is going to happen. This is from The Hill, with seven possiblities. It would interesting to see how this would change the labs
1. One of the two candidates dies or is forced to withdraw for health, legal, scandal, impeachment conviction or reasons unimagined.
The problem is if Trump is convicted it is unlikely is base is going to accept that as legitimate. At this point Trump has like 90 possible felonies. The problem is that the number is so large that even the most die hard " I hate Trump" person has realized that this is very fishy and kind of third world like. If they had just stuck with like 2 people might have believed it. No matter what happens with Biden any conviction of Trump is simply not going convince any of his 65 million followers. I doubt Biden will be impeached or if he is it will be only symbolic. After Clinton and Trump impeachment is not a serious threat.
2. A terrorist attack occurs on par with Sept. 11, 2001.
Who knows, I doubt it since we managed to go 22 years with nothing even close. Maybe the whole Patriot act worked. It would help Biden, like it helped Bush
3. An international incident or an escalation of an existing conflict demands a U.S. military response.
Some kind of war with Russia, or China, NK. If it is ww3 that would put an end to the 2024 election but if it is limited or conventional it would help Biden.
5. Domestic terrorists launch attacks, either in response to the incarceration of Donald Trump or in response to his renomination.
This essentially the start of the Civil war. If this happen Biden will have to bring the hammer down and start sweeping reforms in the country like "Patriot Act2". I would guess the government would win this one but they would need to act very fast and decisively, but it could go way wrong with 65 million people not going along with it.
6. Using artificial intelligence, domestic or foreign players create “deep fakes” close to the election
I doubt the AI part. But claims of foreign players acting in a big way is possible.
7. Given the unpopularity of Trump and Biden, a third-party candidate catches fire and gains support above 20 percent.
Who would it be? So far Kennedy is the only one. I say Taylor Swift could pull it off.
8 Trump and Biden run, Biden wins again because as more people vote for him. Tump concedes, or tries a Jan 6 2025 and patriot act II comes into effect
9 Trump wins, democrats accept it, or they have their own Jan 6 2025. Trump declares himself the supreme ruler for life.
The United States comes to and end and is known as. North American Imperial State. After Trump the next emperor is Musk or Taylor Swift.
Not a lot of good options if you ask me.
Sadly, so many of those extremists, those MAGA extremists take their marching orders from Donald Trump, who has no credibility left by any measure. He's only in it for himself. He's now defending himself in civil actions, and criminal actions. And when do they break with him because at some point, maybe there needs to be a formal deprogramming of the cult members, but something needs to happen.

The world order is crumbling. Russia-Ukraine, Israel-Palestine, Iran going nuclear, unstoppable migration from the Global South to the Global North, weak and incoherent governance in the United States…. It is now a time to seek common ground, not to dehumanize adversaries. Change is coming and we must make it a smooth transition with as little bloodshed as possible.
