Isn't this overdramatized? John Wayne had cancer from smoking and heavy drinking, I thought. He was in advertisements for Camel cigarettes and was a chain smoker.
Also while certain types of cancer were clearly elevated in the downwind communities, such as leukemia, thyroid cancer, and types of brain cancer, there were also reports that because of hormesis, overall cancer mortality may have been actually lowered:
Martin Sheen's commentary states that the US had 928 tests and at least in the trailer, it would imply that they were all above ground. The US had about 200 above ground tests, about 100 of which were in Nevada which would be the subject of "Downwinders". Were we ignorant of the future problems - yes. Did we perform malfeasance - certainly when we marched soldiers through explosion sites.
Move the clock forward and compare the push of the Covid-19 Vaccines to nuclear testing. How many years before there is a documentary for that fiasco?
This is also an interesting paper, claiming that vaccination with the Moderna vaccine lowers biomarkers of epigenetic age (which are generally correlated with many age related diseases) while COVID in unvaccinated individuals can raise epigenetic age, in individuals over age 50:
Scooby fake news alert, fake news alert. This is likely a Russian troll, spreading misinformation. This is the problem with the blog anybody can post anything without a fact check. I say it is all of our jobs to call out misinformation when we see it. I urge people not to real the 10.05AM post.
Scooby filters out several flagrant troll posts. if one falls through the cracks, what can you do ? Chill out and rememberthat we are just a blog, not the NY Times.
