What's Your Say

Top post recommendation.

Do you think this blog has any value other than a place for malcontents to express their narrow view of the world?

The blog is by far the most informative avenue for information. It's everything that LLNL / LLNS wants to hide and keep from the world. That's probably because the blog is not controlled by the LLNS black widow, the newsline or any member of ULM who's goal in life seems to do as much hard to its employees via a Provda type mentality. I am so glad someone is running this blog so the employees have a place where people can express their views against those who's sole goal is to do them harm. YES !!! If ULM were smart, they'd be reading it every day. Maybe they'd actually learn something but it hard to train those who swing from vine to vine scathing their butts and picking the bugs off one another . IMHO , " LLNS is a joke when it comes to leadership and as the senator said," the signs of a good manager is to not lay anyone off". Did any of you clowns in charge get that statement or did it just go over your heads as everything else that's important does?

For those of us outside the gate, where else can we turn for information???
There were a couple of good editorials in the local papers recently, but that's about it. Some employees know more than others, but there's only so many folks you can individually ask: "So, how's it going?" I may not work at the Lab (anymore), but people close to me do, so I have a very very vested interest in what's going on behind the fence.

So, thank you, Scooby and Dooby, for keeping this blog up and going! It's gotta take a lot of time and I, for one, really appreciate your efforts.

This is the intent; what else did you think it is about.

Some people have read trouble understanding scooby's point so maybe this will help.

This blog is for people of LLNL to voice their "opinions" , "suspicions" and "feelings" of what may be happening at LLNL under the guidance of LLNS directed by NNSA and DOE.

Nothing posted here should be taken as the truth nor any actions you take be based on this information. It's each person's responsibility to seek out the information they need to make a logical decision and then carry through with the decision you made based solely on your own research.

This blog was established to give you motivation to seek the truth and then seek justice if there is any in your own mind. This is an open forum and the blog or the people that post here are not responsible for your actions or even what comes about because of their postings or your actions.

.In addition to posting here, communicating with your US House of Representative and senators is strongly encouraged!

This must be a Bechtel sympathizer and a term appointment to boot. The blog is a place where people can vent their emotions. Venting can help prevent stupid acts at work. You must not understand how the death of a great institution affects us. I have spent the majority of my adult life at the Lab. The Lab has been killed by the DOE and the carpetbaggers that took over. One must go through the greiving process. I think we are in the anger phase. It may last, as there is little that can be done. I think if you don't like what you read, possibly you might do the adult thing and skip reading the blog.

No? What about LETTERS TO YOUR CONGRESSMAN post. CALL 60 MINUTES post. GET AN ATTORNEY AND SUE post. DUMP LLNS CONTRACT post etc. It seems everything on this blog is "a call to action".

I never accept anything on this blog as fact though. Except for the Nazi dirtbag, he seems to have is act together.

Depends on the heart of the reader.

I suspect that ULM are quietly embarassed at the plight of the lab; they won't read this often because the fracture of the once cohesive workforce during their tenure is painful to face.'

Plutonium Shots on NIF.

Tri-Valley Cares needs to be on this if they aren't already. We need to make sure that NNSA and LLNL does not make good on promises to pursue such stupid ideas as doing Plutonium experiments on NIF. The stupidity arises from the fact that a huge population is placed at risk in the short and long term. Why do this kind of experiment in a heavily populated area? Only a moron would push that kind of imbecile area. Do it somewhere else in the god forsaken hills of Los Alamos. Why should the communities in the Bay Area be subjected to such increased risk just because the lab's NIF has failed twice and is trying the Hail Mary pass of doing an SNM experiment just to justify their existence? Those Laser EoS techniques and the people analyzing the raw data are all just BAD anyways. You know what comes next after they do the experiment. They'll figure out that they need larger samples. More risk for the local population. Stop this imbecilic pursuit. They wan...

Trump is to gut the labs.

The budget has a 20% decrease to DOE office of science, 20% cut to NIH. NASA also gets a cut. This will  have a huge negative effect on the lab. Crazy, juts crazy. He also wants to cut NEA and PBS, this may not seem like  a big deal but they get very little money and do great things.

LLNL un-diversity

Actual post from Dec. 15 from one of the streams. This is a real topic. As far as promoting women and minorities even if their qualifications are not as good as the white male scientists, I am all for it. We need diversity at the lab and if that is what it takes, so be it.  Quit your whining. Look around the lab, what do you see? White male geezers. How many African Americans do you see at the lab? Virtually none. LLNL is one of the MOST undiverse places you will see. Face it folks, LLNL is an institution of white male privilege and they don't want to give up their privileged positions. California, a state of majority Hispanics has the "crown jewel" LLNL nestled in the middle of it with very FEW Hispanics at all!
