These people are in charge of nukes...NUKES...my god we are are better shape if North Korea is in charge. At least they are not putting kids in cages. Under Trump America is now more the ever essentially Nazi Germany in which we put kids in cages. But we are Nazi Germany (USA 2019) with nukes, all because you people (cowboys) at the labs are not part of the RESISTANCE. Join the elite and fight the EVIL, we are in Germany 1940 (USA 2019) about to start WWII...but this time it is WWIII and Germany (USA 2019) has nukes... NUKES!!!! and all you people (cowboys) are just standing around saying so what? Be on the side of Warren (Roosevelt), and Sanders (Kennedy), Buttieg (Clinton) and be on the right side of history. Or be with Reagan, Hitler, Trump, Netanayu, Hoover, Bush, Perot, Paul, and Thatcher and go down in history as the worst of the worst.

Roosevelt - set the stage for bankrupting the country with the New Deal. Kennedy - Made sure Vietnam was kept going. Clinton - well, Clinton, blue dress... Yeah, great examples. And pairing Reagan with Hitler is an impressively disingenuous move. You are either 14 years old, or stuck at 14 intellectually.

To respond to the original post and not scream off topic into outer cyberspace (what a concept!): This simply demonstrates that the occupant of the White House carefully chooses subordinates that are dumber than he, which is about as low as you can set the bar.

A students try to hire A or A+ students. B students hire C students. We good now?

Ok, this is just a metaphor, it does not actually mean "A" students, it just means outstanding people appreciate and support other outstanding people because they are confident that they can get job elsewhere that is just as good or better. B students are not actually B students they are just people of limited skill and ability that feel threatened by better people who are actually valuable to the organization so they don't want top people around them. They generally want the worst people around them so they feel secure. Yes organizations are always in danger of the race to the bottom as may a destroyed institute can attest. As for the NNSA labs...well LANL was once a great institute but not anymore.

Tri-Valley Cares needs to be on this if they aren't already. We need to make sure that NNSA and LLNL does not make good on promises to pursue such stupid ideas as doing Plutonium experiments on NIF. The stupidity arises from the fact that a huge population is placed at risk in the short and long term. Why do this kind of experiment in a heavily populated area? Only a moron would push that kind of imbecile area. Do it somewhere else in the god forsaken hills of Los Alamos. Trump is to gut the labs.

The budget has a 20% decrease to DOE office of science, 20% cut to NIH. NASA also gets a cut. This will  have a huge negative effect on the lab. Crazy, juts crazy. He also wants to cut NEA and PBS, this may not seem like  a big deal but they get very little money and do great things.

LLNL un-diversity

Actual post from Dec. 15 from one of the streams. This is a real topic. As far as promoting women and minorities even if their qualifications are not as good as the white male scientists, I am all for it. We need diversity at the lab and if that is what it takes, so be it.  Quit your whining. Look around the lab, what do you see? White male geezers. How many African Americans do you see at the lab? Virtually none. LLNL is one of the MOST undiverse places you will see. Face it folks, LLNL is an institution of white male privilege and they don't want to give up their privileged positions. California, a state of majority Hispanics has the "crown jewel" LLNL nestled in the middle of it with very FEW Hispanics at all!
