Virtual Nuclear Weapons Design
Article on nuclear weapons simulations with lots of hyperbole:
This article does not ring true. It refers to Dr. Adam Luft, a senior weapons designer at Los Alamos. There is no such person, past or present. It refers to new codes not being tested. Modern codes receive extensive verification testing and comparison with each other and with legacy codes. They are validated by data from 1054 nuclear tests and a much larger numbers of hydro tests and small scale experiments. The RAVE immersion visualization laboratory is rarely used by designers, and is mainly used to impress VIP visitors.

Hmm, now who could Luft possibly be? Thats a tough one as I cannot think of single opinionated senior designer who thinks he knows best and likes to let everyone know it. Wow what a mystery.
There has been talk that some people have seen Luft, or least heard of his existence. There are others like him but it is sort of like the movie Dune with the navigators.

Who is Adam Luft? Perhaps he is so high up that we don't know about him.

Ok to fair the person has a point.

That’s right, it’s noted at the end. They should have used a more creative name like Fetuccini.
