As far as promoting women and minorities even if their qualifications are not as good as the white male scientists, I am all for it. We need diversity at the lab and if that is what it takes, so be it. Quit your whining. Look around the lab, what do you see? White male geezers. How many African Americans do you see at the lab? Virtually none. LLNL is one of the MOST undiverse places you will see. Face it folks, LLNL is an institution of white male privilege and they don't want to give up their privileged positions. California, a state of majority Hispanics has the "crown jewel" LLNL nestled in the middle of it with very FEW Hispanics at all!

Sure it's just a loud-mouth legislator talking crazy. But these days Putin doesn't look too stable either.
Considering that the Russians are losing so badly and their military is in shambles I doubt their nuclear forces work any better. I say we risk ww3 and and kick Russia out of Ukraine, and bomb them back to the stone age until they kick out Putin.

Again who said Putin will launch nukes, his own people will probably take him out first. Who says they will work, and who says they will not be shot down before they get to the US. At some point we need to stand up t bullies like Putin and Trump. If we do not take care of Puntin now he will attack Poland next, he could help get Trump elected in 2024, he could encourage other nations that they can interfere with elections or invade other counties. No, we need to stop Puntin now, or latter, it is probably safer now.

Russian bot? I see a bunch of these on social media and comment sections. Also several of my coworkers have been brainwashed by these threads. These people are nuts in that they will risk their and everybodys else's lives with Covid by not getting a vaccine and refusing to wear a mask but are afraid Puttie pie is going to nuke us all. I would take their risks aversion more seriously if they where where consistent.
Not to mention they have no problem with trying to destroy our democracy on Jan 6th and yet at the same time are worried Russia is going to destroy our nation.
