LANL mission in the spotlight

The war in Ukraine has put Los Alamos National Lab’s nuclear-weapons mission in the spotlight.

Nanos is shaking his fist in the air yelling "cowboys cowboys cowboys " "Dam you to hell LANL" "I was so close to destroying you since there is nothing at LANL that is not done elsewhere, cheaper, and better".

For all his faults, Don Cobb kept Nanos from doing some really stupid stuff. Some of it I saw first hand.

I have meet Don Cobb and believe you. Scary to think what could have happened if Nanos was allowed from going full Nanos.

What is really amazing is that many in the weapons community were delighted when he was bought in, because of his Headquarters DP experience. Boy, were they ever surprised!
