Scooby why did you allow this hate post on this blog. The othering of migrants is a legacy of the hate from Trump. California is suffering from a problem of lack of workers we need more immigrants not less. Also California is not like the hellhole called Texas.

Ah, if it’s a “legacy of hate” then why is there so much push back from the “lefty” cities regarding settlement of these illegal immigrants? No answer of course, other than the typical NIMBY response.
Legal merit based migration with moderate exceptions, is the only sane path forward, else we are economically pressing down our own poor but legal citizens of the USA.

Sorry I thought you said fighting on BART. You can say what you want about keeping BART out your neighborhood but BART is is a horror show. Fighting, drugging, stealing, and brutality. I would love to have safe public transport to the city, but I will not get near BART after some of the stuff I have seen in the last few years.
Understood, I have serious concerns about BART safety too, it's just hypocritical among some on this blog to suggest that others are racist,
because they are in favor of controlled immigration over uncontrolled immigration, except when such matters involve their "sanctuary city"
or fake supporters of them.
I see Berkeley and Oakland listed, being part of Alameda County does that mean they are doubly covered, sort of like the double secret probation in the movie Animal House?
On the serious side, some business folks wanted BART to come to the transportation hub of Livermore via an underground path. The cost and the amount of interruption to the area to put it in that way was a primary reason Livermore rejected that plan, they pushed for getting it put into the freeway median ala Pleasanton. That makes sense if your plan is to get people off of 580 as soon as possible to reduce the pollution and traffic. Routing into Livermore would have added congestion and pollution to the city with all of the cars stacking up getting into downtown Livermore.
And Finally, BART decided that although Livermore residents had been paying into the BART taxes for a half century, they simply didn't deserve it in any fashion. So are the directors of BART racist, pragmatic or just masters of bait and switch?
Well my plan paid off. I told my daughter not to pay off her student dept. I said worse comes to worse I can pay it but I bet you anything they care going to have debbt forgiveness soon. I was thinking 2024 but we got it 2022. Not all be a good chunk, I am going tell her not to pay off the rest until 2024 when I bet the rest gets forgiven. Hey 20k is good but I want all of it removed. I do not want to hear any people on my case. You play to win this game.

Lots of people being arrested and raided. You have to very naive and ill informed not see that many of federal law enforcement agencies are now being used as political weapons. This of course is common place in 3rd world nations but I have never seen anything like what we are seeing in the past 6 years in the US. Also I am surprised you have not heard of all the cases listed in the citations below. You can also say what you want about the Jan 6th riot, but in light of all the left wing riots for 2 years sentences of 6 month to 1 year are appropriate for the Jan 6 people not these crazy 10 year prison sentences.
