This raises even more concerns about the hiring practices of these government agencies and LLC's such as LLNS. It is clear that something needs to be done to prevent these kinds of hires in the future.
One possible solution is to implement stricter background checks for all government hires, regardless of their diversity status. This would ensure that only qualified and capable individuals are selected for these important positions. Additionally, there should be consequences for those who do not live up to the standards expected of them, including the loss of clearance and potential legal action.
It is important that the DOE and DOD prioritize the safety and security of the American people above all else. Hiring individuals who do not meet the necessary standards is a disservice to the country, and it is crucial that steps are taken to prevent it from happening in the future.

Will all of this mean that Sam will not be available for the DOE/NIF Dog and Pony show scheduled for Tuesday? I mean if fusion energy works and can significantly reduce nuclear waste, this should be right up his alley.

I lost a bag at the Minneapolis airport a while ago. I just assumed it got flown to Timbuktu or somewhere else, but now I have to think, maybe someone just stole it?
There were a lot of things up his alley, apparently.

DOE - What were you thinking when you stole the luggage?
Sam Brinton - What were you thinking when you hired me?
No relevant connection to LLNL, or weapons, or the NWC, or really, anything.
Glad to hear he was fired. The real question remains why was he ever hired in the first place?
If no connections, why did LLNL make such a big deal and give him a tour and post an hour long webex simp session?
