Good, this is what the DOW should be doing, shooting down any threatening object before it can get too close. The last 20 years of touch feely DOD nonsense needs to end.
Pretty sure that was not a UFO but a drone. However let's go down that rabbit hole suppose it was an actual UFO with alien technology that could travel the stars. Do you think shooting it down is a good idea?

It almost looks like it was a balloon they shot at, could also be a plastic bag that got caught in the wind. Why would anyone claim this was a UAP?
