Changes, Changes, Changes

Please post anon:

A bit of information of concern. Some good, some bad.

1.) Besides 535 FTE's by Sept 29th going out the door there's going to be 180-200 flex and contracts from (FR PAD) only and then up to 100 more from other PADS. So the total people out the door this time should be about 835 if we look at a combination of FTE's, contracs and flex. Notices for contracts and flex are being typed up now. Surprise.

2.) TCP-2 Benval will not be altered -- Gee they did something good for a change if that means it will stay as it is now and not revert back to what they wanted to give us before the TCP-2'er raised hell.

3.) AWS hours may be standardized across the lab. We can't get this clarified as to what it means. Does it mean you'll have no choice if you want to work 9-80's or 4-10's, or does it mean they're going to define what hours you'll work when you're on a 9-8 or 4-10 schedule? Hopefully there's someone out in cyber space that'll come forward with more information. I was hoping they did away with AWS all together and had everyone on 5-8's. 7:00-3:30 including ULM.

Now that would really break my heart.

I heard most of this myself but also couldn't get any firm information. LLNS is pretty good about being tight lipped and treating trivial information like this as if it were a big secret. The word is it'll will be out by the end of the week. Lets hope they come clean with the information soon on all three subject matters.

And the majority of the 535 to be cast off will probalby be career employees with TCP-2.

Wishful thinking but I don't think so. It should be TCP-1'r under 50 years old with less than three years. That way they have your money and owe you nothing for not paying attention. Now that's a RIF with some thought.

Start Laying off mostly TCP2ers and I smell a age/ class action!! Doubt thet are that dumb???
Tigger

"Now that's a RIF with some thought"
That is what Mickey of LANS called
"managed attrition".

I heard that double dippers are a prime target, even before contract and flex

Some people are so stupid I'm surprised you know how to breath. Do you understand that double dippers as you call them don't cost LLNS a dime.

Their hard earned retirement comes from the UCRP.

Got it ?

Oh I forgot your post evidently says you don't, but there are the facts again. Probally the only reason you want the double dipper gone is so you can have a job, or, maybe its jealously.

Either way you lose.

When you do your 25- 30 years just maybe you'll have something but with a 401k only, I doubt you will and you'll be working until you are 65.

Enjoy your new LLNS, LLC offerings. Now lest get rid of those TCP-1'er under 50 with less than 3 years and make some room for the old that actually know how to aplly themselves and put in a fulls days work.

Rumor is everyone in the 321 complex or should I say machinist will be working 9-80. Anyone hread of this? Are they still going to let people work 5-8's? Why so many secrets on such trival issues.

The 321 rumor is true
only 1 aws you can still
work 5-8s we believe this is
so they can have more people
on swing to reduce shop square
footage

"I was hoping they did away with AWS all together and had everyone on 5-8's. 7:00-3:30 including ULM."

That will be a cold day in haities. ULM having their butts out of bed and at work on time at 7:00AM You've got to remember. These are a bunch of spoiled college BOYs who've never worked early hours in their entire life. The are the types who sleep to 9-10 AM stay up until 12:00 socializing with their friends knowing darn well they don't have to get out of bed at the earliest 8:00AM. You think these boys know what getting up before the chickens is. Not a chance. These are the elitists reserved to rule. Find bunch of pollywogs they be. These are not the people that make the world go round by a long shot. They just think they are. The real problem is they're paying the wrong people the big wages and getting nothing for their money. But, then again, those at the top got there by who they knew not what they knew. Corporate America is slated for the hobnobbers. How low do you want to go before you lose your self respect is the question.

What idiot made this ruling. Let me guess FR and company? What happed to the NORMAL working hourss of 5-8's. Did they just assume everyone loves that place so much they want to be there 9 hours a day or did you guys vote on it?

Well there you go. That's two out of three correct rumors. Working hours changed and the May 22nd RIF's eqauls more than the 535 reported to the newspapers. One more correct rumor and we've hit a homerun.

If they have everyone working the same hours, then they limit the time buildings are heated/cooled and the lights are on. They can also limit the number of gates they have to man with Guards. It will save a lot of money - it did where I use to work. I don't really care as long as I still have a job.

You must be an hourly paid employee. Salaried employees are expected to work more than 8 hours per day when necessary. Many do much of the time.

Further, the rush at the gates with everyone working the same hours would be a nightmare; like 30 minutes to get on and off the site, not to mention grid lock on the surrounding streets. I'm sure residents in the surrounding areas would complain.
