Lujan votes against funding NNSA
When times get tough, it is hard to know who to count as a friend. The list of votes tells the story, and it is not a pretty one for the northern NM economy.

The sequester is supposed to evenly cut all federal spending. The GOP wants to approve spending on things they like, which means things they don't like will get even larger cuts. Dems are not playing that game.
And Lujan's vote against funding for NNSA spoke loud about what he likes. Even though he voted against funding for NNSA he still will not draw a credible challenge in his next election. The days when you could count on a politician to vote for what was best for their local district are distant memories. Lujan gets his voting orders from Pelosi, not from northern NM residents.

Well that becomes the focal point of the national problem. With every politician attempting to bring home the bacon to their local constituents, it becomes a barter system in Washington. I'll vote for your bacon if you'll vote for mine. And that is exactly how we pile up the debt.
Doing things for the national good, well sometimes I think that is a distant memory. Where's my pie?

No, not Ben Ray! Say it ain't so.
Ben is a loser. He isn't half the man his father was.

As long as your name is "Lujan" and you represent a majority-Hispanic district, you can't lose.
