Is Charlie still planning to go ahead with the Gallup poll of employee opinions? What a waste of money after the Kiwi did his feel good cheer for LANS, and then was arrested a few months later for being a sex offender.

No they have a cultural problem, and culture means workers not managers. The managers get it, they have to fight the culture,
it is the workforce that is the problem, not the management. The management should be given more money and power to fight the workforce.

I still remember Dr. Victor Reis (DOE, Assistant Secretary for Defense Programs, DP-1), in 1997, telling LANL managers "it's the day-in and day-out safety and security issues at Los Alamos". That's 20-years ago and nothing has changed, 20 long years ago.

Admit it Vic, admit it! It's funny how retired Feds "change their tune" when they work for the contractors (e.g. LANL, LLNL, etc.) they abused and admonished as e a Fed. I get it!

He said that he had called a temporary pause to shipping after last week's mistake. Yet, the Federal notice indicated that LANS had had their permits pulled. What is it? Did the feds revoke the permits or did Charlie pause work and the permits are still fully valid and in place?

All permits were revoked as of the day of the notice, said to be first time ever that such action has been taken against a contractor.
Way to go LANL, continue managing to go where no one else has dared to go before.
LANL has a cesspool culture through and through on the operations side. They literally do not care because they believe nothing with happen because nothing ever has. Contractors will change and they will continue on....
Moniz is an academic boner.
Past behaviour is the best predictor of future behaviour and for more than 20 years LANL has had one safety and security mistake after another. Contractors will change, mistakes will continue and not much else will happen.
