Well, any top post that says anything serious about nuclear weapons, weapons research (except of course NIF), testing, etc. generally gets completely ignored. Posts that complain about just about anything or anyone (NNSA, LLNS, LANS, Charlie, management in general, etc.) get dozens if not scores of comments. It seems to me at least, that most posters on this blog do not (or no longer) work at LLNL or LANL, or are lower-level employees without much understanding or concern for the labs' mission.
Technicians, admins, and clerks. I.e., below professional staff members whose education and experience/expertise are gained along with a certain breadth of world-view and who view their function with slightly less myopia and self-interest. Got it?
Going to college doesn't impart a world view? Travelling the world like many scientists and engineers doesn't either? Collaboration with people from all over the world?
You got it totally wrong. Scientists have exactly as valid of world views as non-scientists. Let me guess, you are a bitter loser. Am I right?
Where have you been in the last 20 vears? One's profession no longer reflect one's worldliness. Some of the most informed people are admins, technicians and clerks. O know people who have multiple degrees and who are druggies and derelicts.
You don't need to have a PhD to see the big picture. In fact, sometimes having a PhD is an obstacle to seeing the big picture.
Glassdoor is a joke, by the way. Talk about bitter losers, you either get former employees with grudges slamming the lab, or current employees who want to kiss management's ass by "anonymously" talking about what a great place it is.

Actually, if you must know, I am a retired physicist from LANL, who is entirely happy with my tenure there and I am enjoying a very generous UC pension. You have also misread my original post (June 11, 2017 at 5:16 PM). Go read it again.

You're trying to draw a distinction between staff at different levels that simply does not exist.
If you put 10 people in a room, 10 people from all walks of life, you'll have 10 different world-views. All educated people don't think alike and educated people have world-views that are exactly as valid as anyone else's.
Indeed this is why people cannot speak to each other, drive cars, walk, interact, or function in society. Every view is personal, every narrative could be true and there is no way to talk to one another or even communicate. Just look at this blog.
