Future of for-profit LANL

If the for profit model will remain for the foreseeable future, what can we do within this construct to make for a better Los Alamos National Laboratory?

Define 'we.'

The employees of Los Alamos National Laboratory. Or we can continue with the victim-hood mentality.

There are not, and never have been, "employees of Los Alamos National Laboratory." There were employees of UC, then there were employees of LANS. Pay attention to who signs your paycheck.

You should consider that you might be the only person here who wants one.

7:58 AM , more than considering that.... A community of distinguished persons and the consensus is becoming that we would rather just rant at each other rather than have productive discussions.

Now, now it isn't nice to pick on McMillan, Bishop, Webster, Wallace and Leasure. While it may be correct that that they are all UC lifers, it isn't their fault that LANL has fallen on bad times. Face it, they did the best that they could and just were not up to the requirements of the job.
