They will wait on debriefing, but look to be preparing a protest.
“There will be a full debriefing,” Daniels said. “What I am told, each time the information has been slightly different, but it looks like from a scoring basis, it might have been a dead heat. We’ll have to see.”
Tomas, once again!
Daniels said he was anxious to talk in more depth about the bid with trustees. But he said Tomas Diaz de la Rubia – Purdue’s chief scientist and executive director of Discovery Park, who was in the thick of the details, according to Daniels – talked him down, reluctant to say much more until Purdue can get a better rationale and more specifics from federal officials for why Purdue lost.

Could he have been their candidate for Director?
I doubt that is what happened. Again from my understanding the NNSA was very careful with this to make sure that there would not be a protest. Perry may have some say but that is just the way it is and well within his right. As for the Purdue-Bechtel bid, I heard they did lots of lobbying but the bid was horrible. They apparently think that the lobbying is how you win bids not the actual bid. My guess is that there will be no protest. NNSA learned their lesson with the NTS.
Also...Purdue now has stronger ties with Bechtel!?! Wow. I mean just wow. Good luck with that. I sure wouldn’t send my kid there.
