Impression of LANL
I have always been amazed reading this blog. I have one question, how is LANL this arrogant? I don't get that impression from LLNL. Why are they so impressed with themselves when the dialog points to one messed up place.

Odd from reading the blog I get the opposite impression. Looking at the blog I see lots of complaints about management, operations, and services however I do not see anyone saying how great the place is. I simply do not see how you are getting such an impression and I suspect you are simply the anti-LANL troll.
I have always been amazed reading this blog. I have one question, how are some posters this bitter and hateful of LAN ? I don't get that impression from the other posters. Why are they so impressed with themselves when their dialog points to them being messed up. There are some very bitter ex-LANL employees who simply will not let it go.
LANL still stands on the backs of people who worked hard to win WWII. What have you done since? You comment on grammar, defend the indefensible, and leave me, yes me, with the impression provided in the topic. At least at LLNL we don't sit around defending multiple incidents of either almost killing someone or medically retiring them due to contamination events. Shame is what you should feel. Doing something to protect people is what you should do but instead you attack anyone who says anything about the lab even though you blame all bad things on the magical "management". I hate to tell you, management is not the only problem.

You are not at LLNL, you are a specific ex-employee LANL with an axe to grind. That is fine but at least be honest about this because it is a great disservice to the people that work at LLNL to say you represent them, when I can insure you that you do not nor ever have. Despite some ribbing the people at LANL respect the people at LLNL and vice versa, this should kind of obvious when you consider the number of people who have worked at both places over the years and all the interaction between the labs, but you would nothing of this. Please do not try to pretend you are something you are not and hurt the good name LLNL. I hate to tell you but LANL is not your problem, you are the your problem.

I may not work at LLNL but I know how they repent themselves compared to how LANL people represent themselves. Since 2000 LANL has just been one disaster after another and the people at LANL just keep going one like they are so great. On the other hand LLNL has not a had a signal incident related to spies, fire, stolen items, drug problems, losing disks, cowboys, misuse of GRT taxes, or the rampant cultural problems that LANL has had. I don't recall ever reading about LLNL in the news. Despite their spotless record I bet if something ever did happen at LLNL the people would look to themselves and not blame management for the problems, at least that is my impression and is the likely impression of anyone who has followed the news over the years. I know LANL well and know they think very highly of themselves yet are not nearly as smart as they think they are, and I know from first hand experience that they cannot even recognize true talent when they have it. I bet LLNL can but they would never trust someone from LANL and for good reason.
I rest my case, you do not hear about LLNL people trying to defend the indefensible yet on this very blog a LLNL not no less you have people defending LANL. How is it that LLNL never had a single problem over the years yet LANL has had uncountable many, perhaps humility has something to do with it. Perhaps it was the way LANL treated some of their former employees.

How did the blogger "nail it"? The blogger made an over the top claim that does not reflect my experience with LANL, LLNL or the NNSA. Perhaps I am completely wrong but I would like at least some proof to take the blogger seriously.
By the way what is there to defend? Again the blogger made same wild accusation, what is there to reply other than saying it is wrong? It is sort of like saying LANL kills giraffes because LANL is bad. This is not "nailing" it. What is there to respond to, other than saying no LANL does not harm giraffes. I have never seen this or heard of this. I suppose I could be wrong but you would need some evidence to back up such a claim, like a video of Terry Wallace standing over dead giraffes. Even then it could just be a personal hobby of Terry and have nothing to do with LANL. You can have whatever impression you want of LANL but for the rest of the world to buy you impression you need to provide some kind evidence. By the way what actually issues did the blogger bring up? I did not see any.
The problems with LANL are soooo beyond obvious that anyone can see it,the fact that you cannot see is just one of them many issues with LANL. There is not point in even trying to explain it to you since you will just rationalize it away, want "proof" and deny just as you always do.

OK, so aside from your lack of vocabulary ("soooo"), and your dismissal of facts ("proof" is not a fiction deserving quotes), and your reliance on a hackneyed stupidity about denial, what have you got? If it is so "obvious" you should have no trouble stating it. Then again...
