The Russian rhetoric is always about "if Russia is threatened," because that's all that will fly with the Russian people. But no one is threatening Russia, so it is just meaningless propaganda.

This sounds like an NPR talking point, could please elaborate because any serious political scientist will tell you that Russian
has been threatened for about the last 10 years and not just form the US but from several different regions. I would love to see how you can justify your opinion on this because from what I can tell it is sounds like a MSM talking about which you just repeat. It is almost like a Chatbot version of the news.

The Alec Baldwin thing is big news but nearly as relevant as the new sport "power slap". Contestants have 30 seconds to get ready and slap an opponent, the opponent has 30 seconds to recover. This is great stuff and we have time to worry about Russia, when we have so many more important things in the US.
4:12 back in the day, the rule of law prevailed and Alec Baldwin would have been locked up on day one.

Who exactly is threatening Russia, and threatening them with what? If you answer "sanctions," they were imposed because of Russia threatening others. Who has threatened the use of nuclear weapons but Putin? Who has invaded neighboring countries but Putin? If Putin wanted to play nice in the world, Russia would be welcomed. But no, he is a megalomaniac about restoring the Russian Empire. Don't worry though, he'll be dead soon, if not already. Too many bad choices, even for his cronies.

Try and think of who or what could be threatening Russia. Just throw out a nation or a group and think to yourself "what could be gained by the fall or Russia" Step 2 ask yourself this, has Russia ever had any nations or groups that have threatened it, has this ever happened in history and our those nations or groups still around? Step 3 we are going to to the inverse is there any nation that sees Russia as a threat and if so why?
These can even by hypotheticals but give it a shot.

Has any other group of countries formed coalition and invaded anyone in the last 25 years? Anyone?

I thought Putin died a year ago, or had 10 days to win the war or be killed? I thought every nation on earth would abandon Russia in Feb 2022, I thought Russia would have him killed a year ago, I though all of Russia would turn on him, I though Ukraine was a freedom loving nation of good that everyone will support. As soon as Putin is dead no doubt Russia will give up and play nice because they only reason anyone in Russia feels threatened is because Putin said so. Again use some hypotheticals on this.

Oh, please, once again can you point to single reasons that Russia would feel threatened? The last time I checked the only country invading another country since WWII has been Russia and every time it has only been after Putin came in. Also I do not recall the US, Great Briton or France every even hinting that they would use a nuke in any kind of conflict. Heck even North Korea does not threaten to use them. Only Russia has threatened to use them in attempt to invade Europe. In fact Russia only got motivated to act badly in Ukraine after Trump got in in 2016, before that Russia knew not to interfere with anything associated with Ukraine.
Your lack of knowledge is rather glaring, I would suggest you stop looking at misinformation and fake news.

It is good to see other intelligent, educated and informed adults in the room. The 12.15PM poster has a strong grasp of history, knows Russia, and policy. The 11.57 PM poster is a fake news addict. Russia invaded Ukraine on some flimsily reasons of national security and any nation that does that is morally bankrupt and must be stopped, if you do not see that you are literally on the wrong side of history.
Every rational educated person wants war with Russia at this point. Putin knows he is done, Russia knows that it done. There will not be Russia in the future, we cannot have a world under constant threat of invasion or nuclear war. If we have to do this we should do it now. The world is basically at crossroads like it was in 1939. If we defeat Russia it will end a message to all the fascists movements that they cannot win.

Mearsheimer from U. Chicago has written some critiques of our Ukraine policy based on "realist" great-power ideas, these could be worth considering for an alternate point of view.
At this point, the alternative to continued war of attrition, might be a negotiated peace, perhaps with Russia keeping Crimea, that could be a favorable outcome in some respects.
Every rational educated person wants war with Russia at this point. I'd prefer to say "recognizes the need for war with Russia.." No rational person ever "wants" war.

No rational person wants war but the adults in the room know that war sometimes is the only way to stop more death and destruction or even bigger wars in in the future. Right now we must get rid of Putin and Russia needs to change its ways. They are a threat to the world. Do you think Putin will stop with Ukraine, of course not he will sweep over Europe, he will inspire fascists movements all over the world if he gets away taking part of Ukraine. There is no going back Russia needs to leave all of Ukraine, Russia needs to pay reparations, and Russia needs not only Putin removed but a regime change. We do not want war but is well worth the risk in this case. Only the the cult like Trumpest want to stay out of this, and we all know exactly why because Trump as Russian asset. That is another reason to stop Russia as they will interfere in our elections again, they will fund professors in Chicago and even gullible people like you will fall for it.

Seems like we are in agreement. Educated rational people do not want war, but the recognize the need for war in some cases. These are two totally different things. Russia is a paranoid state that thinks the West is out to get it, as such it is dangerous to the world. We do not want war but at the same time we are adults and realize the possible and likely need for war for regime change in Russia. Adults accept what we want the world to be like is not how the world is. We want everyone vaccinated, we want free speech, we want responsible gun ownership, we want a world without war, but we must face that just wanting something to be true cannot make it true, hence vaccine mandates, controll of hate speech, gun controll and yes having to go to war.

Ok, you lost me at "hate speech," since there is no such thing defined in law. Any law attempting to define such would be declared unconstitutional immediately. There's this little thing called the First Amendment. It protects the speech you like, and also the speech you don't like.

No problem, as long as they don't accept government money or do what government asks them to do that is not legally required. If they choose to censor, they are then legally responsible for what speech they do allow that violates the law.
