This is a video that goes into some of the claims regarding the new AI, for example, that it is at the level of a mediocre grad student, has IQ in independent tests similar to an average human, and so forth. It mentions furthermore that the unreleased version of this coming out in October may be more at a mediocre postdoc level. It has few conceptual ideas of its own, of course:
