Covering up a lie with a bigger lie remains the modus operandi of Livermore. Please spare me the, “We’ve achieved breakeven…” speech. You know that’s a lie. I know that’s a lie, and anyone who cares to add and subtract knows that’s a lie.

Yes, there is pesky little thing called break even or above, referenced to “wall plug” energy, that goes into a thingy called a denominator. Details details.

"Co-founder and CEO Jeff Lawson said."

This must be the same guy who invented the Lawson criteria, so he should know!

On August 8, 2021, researchers at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory's National Ignition Facility in California confirmed to have produced the first-ever successful ignition of a nuclear fusion reaction surpassing the Lawson's criteria in the experiment.

It is bit self serving to name the criteria after yourself but whatever.

With all the AI data centers, we will need fusion, so lets get this going!

Lies and grifters, all of them. They currently have $100,000+ targets, but need 10c targets. They are shooting a few times per day, but need to shoot 10 Hz. Total nonsense.

This is a joke, right? CEO Jeff Lawson has no relationship to the deceased Lawson of the Lawson Criterion. The Lawson criterion is named in honor of the UK scientist who developed the criterion at the Harwell lab in the 1950's, first in a classified paper in 1955 then an unclassified paper in 1957.

Evidently in the corporate world, there is an analogue of the Lawson criterion, the so called "positive unit economics at scale". This means that a company's core business activities generate sufficient cash flow to sustain and grow the organization without requiring external capital.
